A review of corpus linguistics conference in China 2013

2013第二届中国语料库语言学大会于2013年10月19-20日在东华大学召开。会议的主题是"发展中的语料库语言学"。会议围绕5个议题展开研讨,即专门用途语料库,中介语对比分析,平行语料库和翻译,语料库与语言教学,语料库与语言描写等。本次会议显示出以下特点:(1)专门用途语料库研究异军突起。(2)短语学和意义单位研究受到重视。(3)基于平行语料库的翻译研究成为热点。

Corpus Linguistics in China 2013 was held at Donghua University on October 19 and 20, 2013. The conference covered five areas of research: ESP corpus, interlanguage contrastive analysis, parallel corpus and translation, corpus and language teaching, corpus and language description. The conference was characterized by(1) the fast development of the ESP corpus research;(2) the emphasis laid on phraseology and units of meaning;(3) the hot issue of parallel corpus and translation study.
