职业院校公共英语教学改革发展方向初探

A Preliminary Exploration of Direction Of Teaching Reform and development for the Public English in Vocational Colleges

职业院校的公共英语教学目的是以职业为导向,厚基础,强能力。但在实践过程中教学目的往往会根据具体的教学情境而变化,这也使老师和学生不同程度地陷入了教与学的困惑。从我们培养什么人?如何培养人?为谁培养人?这三个逻辑问题出发,引发了对公共英语的"公共性"和"教育质量"的思考,从而得出公共英语并非只为培养"职业人",更重在培养"社会人"这一结论。由此初步提出了几点公共英语改革发展方向。

The teaching purpose of the public English in vocational colleges is the occupation oriented, thick foundation, and strong ability. But in the teaching practice, it tends to vary according to the specific teaching situation, which also makes teachers and students, to some extent, feel confusion. Of the three logic questions, like who do we teach? How do we teach? And what kind of person do we teach for? I give thought to the 'public' and 'education quality' on the public English, so that it seems to me that the public English should focus on cultivating 'social person' rather than 'occupation'. It puts forward some direction of reform and development for the public English.
