王士祯是清朝著名的诗人,他曾在康熙十一(1671)年、康熙三十五年(1691)年分别入蜀。在这两次的入蜀途中,他详实地记录了当时的蜀道地理和人文风貌,著《蜀道驿程记》和《秦蜀驿程后记》等游记。这些游记对研究蜀道的历史地理提供了丰富的资料,因此具有重要的学术价值和现实意义。
