On Aesthetic Features of Hedges

语言的模糊性主要表现在词义、语义、修辞和句法的模糊上。它的主要特点就是模糊不清,即具有不确定性,这就给我们提供了充分的想象条件以及审美的广阔空间。模糊限制语的美学特征决定了模糊限制语的更具表现力。因此,我们可以把模糊限制语的美学特征归纳为:精确、得体和含蓄。

Vagueness has four aspects: lexical meaning, semantic, figure of speech and syntax. Compared to accuracy, hedges has such properties as fuzziness, nondeterminacy and it offers sufficient conditions for imagination and extensive aesthetic space. Aesthetic features of hedges focus on its preciseness, implicitness and conciseness.
