Why I Re-translate Plekhanov's“Materialist Conception of History”?

俄国著名马克思主义理论家普列汉诺夫《唯物主义史论丛》一书不仅"中肯"地介绍和评价了法国唯物主义哲学,还运用大量篇幅阐释了马克思的唯物史观学说,并且突出强调了黑格尔唯心主义哲学的一元论性质对马克思唯物史观产生的重要作用,具有很高的学术价值。然而可惜的是,该书的原稿已经遗失,而现有的中文译本所据以翻译的外文原本并非最初的稿本,致使目前的中文译本存在诸多误漏之处。为力求准确掌握普列汉诺夫的思想精髓,继而通过最接近于作者思想的俄文版本重新翻译此书就成为必要之举。

'Materialist Conception of History'by G.V. Plekhanov,the Russianfamous Marxist theorist,not only'fairly'introduces and evaluates the French materialist philosophybut also uses a lot of space to interpret Marx's theory of historical materialism. Italso highlights the important role of monism of Hegelian idealist philosophy to Marxist materialism and therefore is of high academic value. But unfortunately, the original manuscript has been lostand the existing Chinese translations are not rendered from the original, so that the current Chinese translations are faulty with many mistakes and losses. To accurately grasp the essence of Plekhanov's thought, it is absolutely necessary to re-translate the book from the Russian version which is closest to the author's thought.
