Borgmann’s ideas on the philosophy of technology have given us a whole new perspective to review the problems in modern education technical. The paper demonstrates the meaning of existence and confront situation of “focus thing and focus practice” in education, the existing problems of modern technology in education, and the nature of modern educational technology in the form of case study on the basis of expounding the theories of “classic device paradigm”, “focus thing and focus practice” and so on. Then it elaborates on how to guide “focus thing and focus practice” in education, which can make it become the focus of education and avoid been swallowed up by the modern technology, and make the technology, and education play their proper roles.
