刘宏教授编著的《海外华侨华人与中国的公共外交:政策机制、实证分析、全球比较》一书(暨南大学出版社,2015年4月)以各个作者的实践经验和第一手调研资料为基础,详细介绍了东南亚、新加坡、澳大利亚等国家和地区华人社会的变迁及发展趋势,并以此作为宏观背景,从华人社团组织的发展、华文教育、华文媒体等几个角度分析了华人华侨在公共外交中的地位和角色、华人及新移民与当地社会的关系,进而探讨了中国侨务公共外交在这些区域所面临的形势与机遇。

The book Overseas Chinese and China's Public Diplomacy: Policy Mechanism, Empirical analysis, Global Comparison,(Jinan University Press, April 2015) compiled by Professor Liu Hong, explicitly introduces the changes and development trends of the Chinese community in countries and regions including Southeast Asia and Australia based on each author's practical experiences and first-hand research materials. Against this macro background, the book analyzes the role of overseas Chinese in China's public diplomacy, the relationship of the overseas Chinese and new Chinese immigrants with the local community from several aspects including the development of overseas Chinese organizations, Chinese education and Chinese media. The book then goes on to explore the situation and opportunities of China's overseas Chinese affairs public diplomacy in these areas.
