Previous Researches on the History of Early Ming Dynasty: Retrospect and Prospect

在古代史范围内,南京城市的发展以六朝、南唐、明初的都城时期最为显著。六朝建康基本奠定了城市发展的政治与文化地位;至五代十国时期,经济重心不断南移,南唐金陵进一步奠定了城市发展的经济基础;时至明初,南京的城市经济、城市职能不断发展,更趋成熟。多年来,有关明初南京史地的研究成果日益丰富,为南京城市史、历史地理、古都学的研究提供了直接资料,扩大了研究的范围,对于城市的古迹保护、旅游规划也有重要的参考价值。

In the context of ancient history,the urban development of Nanjing was the most remarkable during the period of the Six Dynasties,the Southern Tang Dynasty and the Early Ming Dynasty. In the the Six Dynasties,Nanjing had established its political and cultural status of the urban development. During the Southern Tang Dynasty,the economic gravity constantly moved to the south,and Nanjing settled its economic foundation for the development of the city. Up to the early Ming Dynasty,the development of the urban economic and urban functions in Nanjing continued to grow and become more mature. Over the years,the researches on the historical geography of Nanjing during the early Ming Dynasty were becoming richer,which provided direct information for the study on the history of Nanjing,the historical geography about Nanjing,as well as the research of ancient capital.
