As an adherer and pioneer of Chinese fictional modernism,SUN Chunping has attracted sufficient literary critical attention.Theoretical obsession for his fiction has really yielded the diversified studies,however,over heated theoretical expounding has also affected our insightful understanding of SUN’s creation.Breaking through theoretical barricade,and taking an approach to SUN’s creation with an attitude similar to SUN’s"Simple Realism",we can find out the steady foothold in SUN’s works,that is,his adherence to social direction,human nature’s transmutation,morality and ethnicity and ethnic esthetic conventions.With this steady foothold,SUN has won the universal acceptance and has found echoes in human nature and ethnic culture.
