When "Oedipus" Meets "Gregor":a Perspective of the Rationality Paradox of Alienation Theme

文学中的异化主题是人类不断进行自我认知的表现。在人类自我认知的道路上,理性的力量不容忽视,但理性的作用力却难以逾越理性悖论的影响。古希腊时期,索福克勒斯的戏剧《俄狄浦斯王》已涉及了异化主题。二十世纪,卡夫卡的小说《变形记》更是现代主义文学中表现异化主题的经典。从"俄狄浦斯"到"格里高尔",虽历经千年,可蕴藉于异化主题中的理性悖论却从未消失。

The alienation theme of literature reveals the everlasting pursuit of human’s self-knowledge.Although the power of rationality cannot be ignored in the process of human self-knowledge,the effort of rationality cannot go beyond the influence of the rationality paradox.In the ancient Greece,Oedipus the King,a Sophocles’ drama,had already been involved in the "alienation" theme.In the twentieth century,The Metamorphosis,a Franz Kafka’s novel,was a classic on the "alienation" theme among the modernist literature.From "Oedipus" to "Gregor",time has flown over thousands of years,but the "rationality" paradox contained in the " alienation" theme has never perished.
