Enlightenment from the Appreciation of Japanese Yen on the Exchange Rate Adjustment of RMB

本文通过比较分析我国近期汇率调整与80年代日元汇率调整的异同点,探讨人民币升值对我国经济的影响。为人民币升值提出了科学的见解和为我国汇率调整政策提供一定的参考价值。

This article first compares and analyzes the differences and similarities between the current exchange rate adjustment of RMB and that of the Japanese Yen in the 1980s. Then it discusses the influence of the appreciation of RMB on Chinas economic development, pointing out that the current gradual adjustment of RMB exchange rate will not have substantial influence on our country’s steady economic development. The author advances a number of new viewpoints which may be of some value to the country’s exchange rate adjustment policy.
