评夏志清的《中国现代小说史》

A Review on C.T.Hsia’s A History of Chinese Modern Fiction

本文以关国华人学者夏志清先生于20世纪50年代末撰写的《中国现代小说史》自问世以来,在学术界引起强烈反响和对该小说史几经曲折终于在大陆得以正式出版进行研究。分析了夏志清的《中国现代小说史》写作特点,提出了中国现代小说史的书写问题和思考。为我国现代小说史的写作和特点提供了一定的参考价值。

Since A History of Chinese Modern Fiction by American Chinese scholar C.T. Hsia came out at the end of 1950s,it caused intense repercussions in academic circles.It is now published in Chinese Mainland.This paper will attempt to analyze its writing characteristics and discuss some problems in the compilation of the history of modern Chinese fiction.
