CORBA(TheCommonObjectRequestBrokerArchitecture)是一个分布式的面向对象的应用架构规范,它可以在任何平台上运行,可以定位在网络的任何地方,能够使用任何有IDL映射的语言.目前,CORBA3标准规范已被软件行业普遍认可和接受.由于传统CORBA的不足和限制,CORBA的研究主要集中在设计、实时、容错、可靠与高性能等方面.随着网络带宽和CPU速度的迅速发展,以及DRE系统、关键任务系统和COTS中间件日益增加的需求,提高现有CORBA的服务质量、可靠性、容错性将是CORBA研究的主要方向.

CORBA(the common object request broker architecture) is a distributed object-oriented application architecture specification.It can ren on every platform,locate in everywhere on network and use languages with IDL mapping.Now CORBA 3 standard specification has been commonly accepted by software industry.Because of the deficiencies of conventional CORBA,the research on CORBA will mainly focus on design,real-time,fault tolerance,reliability and high performance etc.With the rapid development of network bandwidth,CPU speed and increased requirement of DRE system,mission critical system and COTS middleware,the main direction of reseqrch on CORBA will be improving Quality of Service,reliability and fault tolerance of current CORBA.
