Research on English-Chinese Translation Studies and Teaching of Translation

文章认为翻译教学及教学研究不仅对译学建构和其学术地位的确立具有特别重要的意义,而且翻译学理论对翻译教学更具直接的理论指导意义。“英汉语言文化比较与翻译”是语言对比和文化对比的合而为一,既是英汉翻译学的分支学科之一,也是英汉翻译方向硕士研究生培养的基础科目和培养方向之一。并提出以“英·汉翻译语言·文化对比研究”统一术语确立科目名称。

As a graduate academic discipline and translation-research branch, Comparative Study of Languages and Cultures of English-Chinese Translation is said motiveless by some scholars, which actually is a combinedcontrastive study of English-Chinese languages and cultures in English-Chinese translation. This paper argues that a contrastive study of the two languages and cultures is one of the essential scientific and systematic approaches of English-Chinese translation studies and translating. Thus contrastive studies of languages and cultures of English-Chinese translation is not only one of the main basic academic disciplines but also one of the majors for graduate students of English-Chinese translation.
