On Painting Plum Blossom

一剪寒梅、十分神韵 ;百花独先 ,千古风流 ,古往今来不知多少画家为梅花如醉如痴。笔者酷爱画梅 ,将十几年画梅的理性予以论析 ,意在阐述创作中的认识 。

As the first among hundreds of flowers, the winter plum blossom with full verve has been distinguished and admirable for thousands of years. Countless painters both in history and at present have been fascinated with the plum blossom. Ardently loving the plum blossom, the author of this paper is offering his own experience of learning painting the flowers for scores of years, in order to expound the understanding and tastes of his painting learning, for mutual encouragement with the colleagues.
