In the process of recognizing the nature of socialism and probing into its construction, Comrade Deng Xiaoping adhered to materailism and profoundly brought into light the connotation of socialist politics and set up his view on socialist politics with the materialist viewpoint on history as the fundamental way of cognition and taking into consideration the whole situation, the people's interests and the the nature of economy as well as the destiny of the nation.
