The paper introduce recent progress of information literacy instruction in the U.S.in five aspects as follows:emergence of numerous standards and guidelines,exploration of the topic of information literacy instruction in greater depth,emphasis on questions of legal and ethical use of information,impact of technology on teaching and learning,and development of instructional projects and approaches.
