摘要 Tough结构是一种特殊的句法结构,其谓词特征决定结构类型。只有具备"难易"语义特征的形容词性谓词才能被称为Tough结构形容词性谓词,而Kim的三类分类法是不科学的。Tough结构中补语提升的性质是NP 移位,而不是Chomsky所认为的那样,属Wh 移位。事实证明,NP 移位说能够更好地解释补语提升现象。 Tough construction has a very special syntactic structure, and its typological features lie in its special predication. Only the adjectives with the semantic features like 'easy' or 'difficult' can be called adjectival predications. The classification of Kim is not scientific. The complement-raising in Tough construction belongs to NP-movement, not as Chomsky once depicted in his essays, Wh-movement. The hypothesis of NP-movement can be used to illustrate more clearly the phenomenon of complement-raising.
