The "God Pursuit" Movement of the Russian Intellectuals in the Early 20th Century

19～20世纪之交在俄国哲学界因神秘主义及其他非理性主义思潮的流行出现了一批热衷于东正教神学的世俗思想家,他们被称作俄国20世纪初的知识分子寻神派,其活动实际上主要集中在1902～1918年这一阶段。他们的出现是当时欧洲大气候和俄国国内环境共同作用的结果。其形成主要经历了两个过程:首先是从马克思主义转向唯心主义的唯意志论,然后再进入宗教神学。尽管寻神派知识分子的思想存在着缺陷,但是,对这一哲学流派嗤之以鼻同样也是不公正的。

The 'God Pursuit' movement, launched by the Russian intellectuals in the late 19th century and early 20th century, is a religious philosophy prevailed in the late period of the Russian Empire. Although the 'God Pm-suif' Group have obvious limitations in their perception, the movement still opens a window for the comprehension of the social reality, especially the spiritual civilization of Russia, and it is an important aspect which has to be taken into consideration in the process of making a complete and objective evaluation of the social ideology of Russia. They launched a renaissance movement of religious philosophy which attracted many people's attention to the development of the spiritual civilization of Russia, especially the development of the Orthodox culture.
