文章通过对英汉缩略词语进行分类总结 ,以英语和汉语两种语言的构词法为基本出发点 ,运用对比分析的方法比较了英汉缩略词语的异同 ,并从跨文化的视角来理解英汉缩略词语及其语言、思维和文化。

After a classification of the types of English and Chinese shortenings,this paper compares the similarities and differences between the two by analyzing the lexical features of the two languages. Hence with a good knowledge of these similarities and differences,we can get further understanding of the two kinds of language and culture,which facilitates cross-culture communication.
