This article systematically describes concepts, characteristics and the system composing of tourism environmental bearing capacity.Taking Qinhuangdao city as an example,a theoretical basis of the sustainable tourism development is established through the calculation and quantitative analysis of its ecological environmental bearing capacity, its resource environmental bearing capacity, its inhabitant psychology bearing capacity and domestic economy bearing capacity.
