摘要
The Battle of Changping, a most famous war waged more than 2,200 years ago, was a decisive battle toward the end of the Warring States period pitting more than a million soldiers against each other between the Qin and Zhao. A decisive victory defining the transition from a long period of feudal separatist rule to a centralized state authority, the Battle of Changping had far-reaching influence in Chinese history. The battlefield of this fierce rivalry can be found on the banks of the Dan River northwest of today’s Gaoping, Shanxi.
