邓小平思想政治教育理论具有鲜明的中国特色和时代特征,是新时期我国社会主义改革和发展的根本方针和行动指南。邓小平思想政治教育理论强调,新时期思想政治教育工作只能加强不能削弱;新时期思想政治教育工作服从和服务于党的中心工作;加强和改善党的领导最主要的就是加强思想政治教育工作;加强思想政治教育工作必须改善和创新思想政治教育工作。

Deng Xiaoping's theory of ideological and political education has distinct Chinese and time characteristics and is the fundamental principle and action guidance for China’s socialist reform and development in the new period. Deng’s theory emphasizes that the ideological and political education should be strengthened rather than weakened and should serve the Party’s central task, that the most important means to reinforce and improve the party’s leadership is to strengthen such education, and that the strengthening of such education relies on the improvement and innovation of the education’s methods and style.
