On the Issue of Famous Dicta in Chinese Philosophy

名言之域作为哲学论辩的重要对象 ,很早已进入中国哲学的论域。历史地看 ,中国哲学在从认识论之维考察名言与存在的关系的同时 ,也对其中涉及的语言与存在的关系 ,作了多方面的思与辨。语言作为人把握世界及“在”世的方式 ,既以人自身的存在为根据 ,又内在于人的存在过程。以独语、对话为形式 ,语言不仅在个体之维影响着自我的存在过程及精神世界的形成 ,而且在类的层面上构成了主体间交往和共在、实践过程及生活世界的建构所以可能的前提。中国哲学在上述方面的看法 ,对深入地把握语言与存在的关系 ,提供了历史的视域。

A major theme in philosophic argument, the issue of famous dicta became an area of Chinese philosophic discussion in very early days. Historically speaking, Chinese philosophy made miscellaneous contemplations and discriminations of the relationship between language and exxistence with regard to famous dicta as it investtigated the relation of these famous dicta to existence. As a human means both of controlling the world and of “being” in the world, language bases itself both on human existence itself and on the process of human existence. In form of monologue and dialogue, language not only influences the formation of the spiritual world and the process of self-existence in terms of human individuals, but also offers the prerequisite for possibility of interaction, co-existence, arrangement of the process of practice and the world of life in terms of human race as a whole. The above-mentioned view of Chinese philosophy extends a historical vision for control of the relationship between language and existence in an even deeper sense.
