SWB & PWB are examined as two orientations of well being research. This article discusses the different characteristics of SWB and PWB and their relation. The results show that SWB and PWB are conceptually related but empirically distinct and that their integration relates differentially to sociodemographics and personality, and there has been an integration tendency between them.
