Markedness and Type of the Mutual Transformation ofa Monosyllabic Word’s Assertion and Designation

通过对单音词指称与陈述相互转化的标记模式和语义类型的描写 ,本文论说了易于发生转化的单音词的特点。在此基础上 ,用亚里士多德范畴学说解释指称化与陈述化原因的局限性 。

By describing the markedness and semantic type of the mutual transformation of a monosyllabic word’s assertion and designation, this paper explains that the result of a monosyllabic word’s transformation has diversity and complexity. And on the basis of that, we analyze the characters of components that tend to nominalize or verbalize and the limitations, and explain the reason of assertion and designation’s transformation using Aristotle’s theory of category. Finally, we discuss the monosyllabic word’s lexical status.
