江苏沙河抽水蓄能电站厂房采用竖井半地下式布置,竖井直径为29m,深38m,采用混凝土衬砌。机组设在竖井内,安装场布置在地面,以节省厂用电,降低运行费,并有利于安全运行。投产运行结果表明,竖井围岩稳定,厂房建筑物安全可靠,机组设备运行正常。

Jiangsu Shahe Pumped-storage Power Plant has its powerhouse's lower part laid in a shaft that is lined with reinforced concrete and 29 m in diameter and 38 m in depth. The units are installed in the shaft and the erection bay lies on the ground. Such layout provides some advantages such as lower service power consumption, reduced operational cost and safety operation. It is demonstrated by actual performance of the power plant that the wall rock of shaft is stable, powerhouse safe and reliable and the units well operated.
