Mouse embryonic stem cells E14 were co-cultured with various concentrations of glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) and cell morphological changes were observed. Insulin was detected by means of in situ hybridization, RT-PCR, immunocytochemistry, flow cytometer and radioimmunoassay. E14 cells induced by GLP-1 show the potential of differentiation to cells that express insulin-like substance.
