明太祖朱元璋在其统治期间 ,强调“法贵简当” ,制定了一系列法律 ,并通过立申明亭、颁布《大诰》等方式进行普法宣传 ,提高了各级官吏的法律素质 ,增强了百姓的法律意识 ,对政权的稳定和百姓的生活 ,影响深远 ,意义重大。

Emperor ZHU Yuan-zhang emphasized legislation must be simply and drew up a series of law. He also strengthend popularizing law propaganda by setting up many Shengmingting in all of counties and promulgating Dagao.It improved not only the official ability,but also the people's legal consciousness.It was important to stabilize the regime and the people's life.
