The FDI Location Selection and Regional Economic Development:--A Policy Choice for China's West Region

摘要 FDI区位理论的发展脉络与自然、经济、社会、人力、生态、制度等多元要素构成的区位优势集决定了FDI的区位选择。我国FDI的区域分布、投资效率、变动速度、对经济增长的贡献呈"东高西低"的基本格局,区域制度变迁与FDI强相关。西部地区可通过提高投资的市场化程度、技术含量、制度创新、提高劳动力素质等措施有效配置和利用FDI。 A rationalized FDI location selection depends on numerous elements, including natural resources, economy, society, human resources, ecology and dominating systems. China's FDI contribution to the economic growth runs under a basic pattern of ″more from the east, and less from the west″, especially in terms of regional distributions, investment efficiency, and changing speed. China's regional system changes are strongly correlated with FDI. Author believes that the west region can use FDI in an effective manner, if it strives for a highly market oriented investment process, higher technological input, an innovative system, and improving its labor quality.
