摘要
农业生态研究是一个复杂的系统工程,它不仅与某一单项因素紧密相关,也和自然界中诸多生态环境、社会经济背景有着密切的关系和交互影响。因此,复杂的生态环境造成了数据的多重性、规律性差的特点。随着科技的进步,信息技术的发展使数据的积累不断增大,如何能管理好这些数据和信息,让他们能有效快捷地为人类的进步服务,为此,元数据的概念被引入到数据库管理系统。元数据和元数据管理系统,能够高效地管理海量信息和大型数据库、也能快捷地访问到所需的数据,而元数据标准的制定是实现数据共享和管理的关键。阐述了国内外近年来元数据的发展历史、基本定义,探讨了有关生态学元数据的标准。并通过实例,重点探讨了元数据管理系统的设计原理、开发工具和系统的建立以及系统所具有的功能。参7。
Ecological research is complex system engineering; it is not only concerned with nature resources but also with society, economy, literae humaniores and other environments. Therefore, data comes from ecological field has multi-properties and less regulars. In recent decades, data accumulate increasing more quickly along with scientific improvement and IT technology development. How to manage these huge data, quick inquiry and let them better served for science and social advance? For that, metadata was introduced into database management. In this paper, the history of metadata in the world and basic definition were introduced and metadata criteria for ecological researches were discussed. Establishment of metadata management system, design, develops language and system functions were also presented.
