我国古代妇女的体育活动不多见于史籍 ,反而多见于文学作品之中。《红楼梦》是中国文学史上最伟大的作品 ,被誉为清代风俗百科全书。作者试通过对《红楼梦》的透视与分析 ,展示我国清代妇女参与体育活动的项目、特点及开展的原因 ,让读者领略到妇女在体育活动中美学魅力的同时 ,也为清代体育史的研究提供实证材料。
