北京基督教青年会的历史研究现状与档案资料综述

Summary Discussion on the Present Condition of Study and Archival Materials of Peking YMCA

成立于 190 9年的北京基督教青年会 ,是在北美协会的帮助下建立起来的。它在2 0世纪上半期的历史 ,既从一个侧面反映了近代北京城市的变迁 ,也展现了东西两种文化的相遇、冲突和混合的过程。本文论述了它的研究现状以及相关的档案资料 。

Peking YMCA founded in 1909 was set up with the help of the International Committee of Young Men's Christian Association of U.S.A and Canada. Its development in the first half of the twentieth century not only reflected the change of modern Peking, but presented a process of contact, conflict and hybridization between Chinese and Western culture. The thesis expounds its present condition of study and relevant archives and analyses the importance of further study on it.
