双宾语结构与句末附加语

The doable object construction and sentence-final adjunct

生成语法一直在讨论双宾语结构,从管辖约束理论到最简方案,诸多学者提出了不同的解决方案。但是,很少有人涉及双宾语结构与附加语(特别是句末附加语)同时出现时所面临的问题。本文按照Chomsky(1999)《语段推导》的基本思路来处理这一推导中所面临的问题,同时还吸收了其他学者(例如Bowers 2002)对最简方案的发展。本文将双宾语结构的推导限制在语段vP内,而附加语则像其它词项一样与已经形成的结构合并,继而进入推导,只不过附加语不能随意移动。

The representational status and proper derivation of the DOC has long been a subject of debate in the literature of generative grammar, from the government and binding theory (GB) to the minimalist program (MP). Few linguists, however, have addressed the questions emerging in sentences where adjuncts co-occur with the double object construction, especially at the end of sentences. We are going to tackle this problem in accordance with Chomsky (1999). At the same time, we are going to use the new ideas in the minimalist spirit developed by other linguists, such as Bowers (2003). Here the derivation of the double object construction will be confined within the phase of vP. Then, the adjunct will merge with the structure that has already been derived just like other lexical items, but it will not move freely.
