战后澳大利亚工党进行的三次政党现代化改革表明 :在现代国家中 ,政党发展与国家发展密不可分。一个政党要想在国家社会政治发展进程中始终居于领导地位 ,或能长时间地发挥重要作用 ,必须首先建立一种开放性的弹性机制 ,不断实现自我调整、更新、完善 ,以适应社会发展的需要。

In the postwar period, Australian Labor Party has reformed three times for modernization of the party, which indicates that the development of the party is closely related to that of the country in a modern country. A party who wants to keep the status as a leader during the whole social and political progress or to play a significant role in a long run must establish above all an open elastic mechanism and constantly make self-adjustment, self-rejuvenation and self-improvement to meet the need of social development. Complacency and conservativeness can only stifle a party's vitality.
