Hardship consciousness is an excellent ideological tradition. Deng Xiaoping, as the core of the second-generation leadership of CPC, is a Marxist with lifelong anxiety cherished. His hardship consciousness mainly includes the concern about national backwardness, people's low-level living standard, the construction of CPC and the future and fate of socialism. His hardship consciousness carries the feature of the integrity between reality and scientificness.
