从表面上看 ,汉语中“都”与其量化对象之间的线性关系既左亦右。本文提出 ,实质上“都”与其量化对象存在结构关系 ,在线性词序上呈左向量化。采用语言学 ,哲学中常常提到的隐性的事件论元使得“都”的表面左向量化成为可能 ,同时引进事件切片的概念以满足“都”的复数要求。

On the surface, 'dou' in Chinese may quantify over an element both on its left and on its right. It is proposed in the paper that ou' has a structural relation with the quantified element, which is always on its left in the linear configuration. Positing an event argument, independently motivated in the literature, in the sentence makes it possible to unify the analysis of 'dou' quantification. A mechanism of event-slicing is proposed to account for the plural requirement of 'dou'.
