十则笔记中,与训诂有关的四则、与古书校勘有关的三则、其他方面的三则。其内容或提供新材料,或提出新解释,或 纠旧书之误,或清误解之源……均为有据而发。
With these ten reading notes, four are concerned with explanations of word in ancient books; three are about textual criticism, the rest three are on other things. All the notes are well grounded, either providing new matenals, rendering new explanations or correcting errors in ancient books.
