Clinical value of POP-01 pulsed electro-magnetic fields in the treatment of osteoporosis

摘要 目的评估脉冲电磁场型骨质疏松治疗系统作为一种骨质疏松非药物治疗方法的疗效。方法42例骨质疏松症患者。治疗组32例采用POP-01脉冲电磁场型骨质疏松治疗系统进行治疗(1次/d,45 min/次,30 d一个疗程),同时口服葡萄糖酸钙片(1 g,3次/d)。对照组10例同样口服葡萄糖酸钙片,共服30 d。试验前后均测量骨密度值(BMD,L2-L4的平均值),根据骨代谢化验值及疼痛症状的分级来评价症状的改善程度。结果治疗后治疗组BMD明显提高,平均增长率为9.8%,治疗前后BMD存在显著差异(P<0.001);BMD提高的有效率为87.5%,疼痛减轻的有效率为93.8%,治疗前后疼痛改善有显著差异(P<0.001);对照组BMD无明显变化,治疗前后BMD及疼痛改善均无显著差异。结论POP-01脉冲电磁场型骨质疏松治疗仪对提高骨质疏松患者的骨密度和改善其疼痛症状具有重要的价值。 Objective To evaluate efficacy of the treatment of osteoporosis with pulsed electro-magnetic fields (PEMFs)as a non-drug intervention. Methods Forty-two patients (6 males and 36 females, average year =67. 3) who were clinically diagnosed as osteoporosis disease by bone mineral density ( BMD) measurement were randomly assigned into 2 groups, control group (10 patients) and treatment group (32 patients). The patients of treatment group were treated with PEMFs 45 min daily and calcium gluconic acid (Ig, t. i. d, p. o. ). A therapeutic course consists 30 d. The patients of control group were treated with calcium gluconic acid (Ig, t. i. d, p. o. ) only. BMD (the average value of L2-L4) and bone metabolic indicator were measured before and after the study. Improvement in symptoms were evaluated by pain grading. Results The average BMD increase rate of the treatment group was 9. 8% . The difference of BMD before and after the study was significant(P <0. 001). The increase rate of BMD was 87. 5% . The effectiveness rate of pain relief was 93. 8% . The difference of pain grading before and after the study was significant( P <0. 001) , but the difference of BMD as well as pain grading before and after the study was not significantly. Conclusion POP-01 PEMFs in increasing BMD and relieving pain in osteoporosis patients is of great clinical value.
