This article has briefly described the harms of solvents and free-TDI in TMP-TDI (trimethylol propane-toluene diisocyanate) adduct to health and environment, the solvent-free technology for the title TMP-TDI adduct hardener and the progress in reduction of free-TDI in the hardener, focusing on comparison of various available methods for reduction of free-TDI. A suitable method that fits the existing situation in China is recommended.
