The Reformation of Translation Course of Undergraduate Course English

本文分析了当前高校英语专业翻译课程存在的问题及其原因,指出了翻译市场出现的变化,说明了目前高校本科翻译课程设置与我国现阶段的社会期望有一定的差距。就翻译课程存在的问题,从三个目标、操作和资源层面提出了解决建议:翻译课程设置应符合社会期望;翻译课堂教学可以向课外延伸;要投入设备和进行教师培训。

This paper presents an analysis of the problems and their causes in translation course of English departments in higher education. It points out that there have been major changes in the translation market and that a gap exists between the translation course setting and the social expectations in present China. Suggestions concerning the solution to the problems are proposed from 3 planes, those of objective, operation and resources: The course setting should adapt to social expectations; translation class should be extended to society and investment should be made to teaching equipment and teacher training.
