“Consortium”——An Efficient Way for Electronic Resources Acquisition

以CALIS工程文献中心组织的集团为例,从CALIS组织集团引进国外电子资源的由来、集团采购的优点、在本地建立镜像服务器的优点、已经组成的集团、组团引进电子资源的效益等几个方面,对以集团采购方式引进国外优秀电子资源的历史、现状、优点和效益以及在本地建立镜像服务器的必要性进行了详细的分析和研究,以期对图书馆的电子资源建设起到促进和帮助作用。

This paper reviews the history of 'Consortium Acquisition' organized by CALIS and discusses the advantages of consortium acquisition and the set up of local mirror sites, as well as the efficiency of consortium acquisition for electronic resources. Based on the review and discussion, it furthermore makes detailed analysis on the necessity of the Consortium Acquisition and the role of Consortium Acquisition on the library electronic resources development.
