This paper discusses the important role of electronic resource in the collection development in the academic libraries. It emphasizes the importance of keeping balance between the traditional resource and the electronic resource in collection development. Furthermore, it also makes some suggestions on the Basic Preconditions of Universities and Colleges Factor System.
