of Monochamus alternatus population required two years,across 3 years,to complete its lifecycle in Pinus armandii at elevations of 800～1 000 m in Nanyue Mountain,Hunan province.It was suggested more attention be put on the development of attractants;Cleaning dead trees was still basic measure to control the pest.
