本文通过对《红楼梦》情节、高潮和其他诸种矛盾的分析认为 ,《红楼梦》的主要矛盾不是贾政和贾宝玉围绕功名仕进问题而进行的冲突 ,是王夫人和贾宝玉围绕选择薛宝钗还是林黛玉而进行的冲突。

Through an analysis of the plot, climax and various contradictions in the classic A Dream of Red Mansions, the author of this thesis comes to the conclusion that the principal contraction is the conflict between Madam Wang and Jia Baoyu on whether to choose Xue Baochai or Lin Daiyu, instead of the conflict between Jia Zheng and Jia Baoyu on official positions and careers.
