As an integral part of the theoretical construction within the discipline, the teaching of Comparative Literature has been a frequent topic among today's academics in China. This paper is intended to offer a critical perspective upon the current teaching in Comparative Literature in universities in Hong Kong, with special reference to curricular construction, course syllabus and the new tendencies occurred in the course of teaching. And this will be in the accompaniment of a tentative investigation and analysis of the merits. Also the problems that exist in such education models and demerits associated with those particular teaching models, which, to some extent, highlight some adequate modification and improvement of the current course structures and teaching methods in those similar departments in China.
