Urban forest and Lingnan cultural features in Guangzhou City

文章综述了岭南自然地理、气候特点和土壤与森林植被的分布规律,以及岭南文化的精髓,提出广州城市森林的建设要根据岭南气候特点,结合岭南植物、岭南园林、城市地理特色和文化品位的评定,突出岭南文化特色。

As the quintessence of Lingnan culture, the geographical and climatic characteristics and distribution patterns of soils and forest vegetations in the Lingnan region, which had located in the south of the Nanling Mountain Range, was summarized in this paper. It proposed that the establishment of urban forests in Guangzhou City should be based on the climatic conditions of Lingnan region, integrated with the characteristics of zonal plant of Lingnan, Lingnan gardens, urban geography and the assessment of cultural quality, and the Lingnan culture would be emphasized.
