Lorenzo Valla:His Life and Thoughts

苏伦佐·瓦拉是 15世纪意大利人文主义者 ,以撰写《君士坦丁伪赠礼考证》而闻名世界。他多次撰文攻击罗马教廷的主流哲学 ,因此曾被判处死刑 ,然而他不仅没有惨死于狱中 ,晚年还获得了罗马教皇的提拔、委任和宠幸。瓦拉“非圣”而不死 ,且为罗马教廷器重 。

Lorenze Valla was the Italian humanist in the 15th century,famous for his Investigation into the False Donation of Constantine.He wrote to attack the prevalent philosophy of the Roman Catholic Church and was therefore sentenced to death.But he did not die in prison,on the contrary,was promoted and favored by the pope in Rome in his late years.This was chiefly due to the social view of value in the Renaissance and the policy of the Roman Church to develop humanisim.
