A Study on the Chinese Economic Thought of Cooperation in 1920s

西方合作学说被知识分子视力变革社会的一剂“良方”而引介到中国,至五四运动前后,汇聚成了具有一定声势和影响力的合作主义启蒙思潮,并由此把合作制度与中国社会的现实问题结合起来,呼吁组建各种类型的合作社,以发展平民经济,同时进行了大量的实践活动,产生了相当社会影响。但因中西方社会发展的“时代差”导致中国的合作经济思潮除了具有西方类似特征外,又有自己的特色。

At the beginning of the twentieth century, the western theory of cooperative economics was regarded by the Chinese scholars as one of the most effective methods to transform the Chinese society. During the period of the May Fourth Movement, there had formed a somewhat powerful and influential enlightenment for the cooperation. Many researchers and practitioners combined the cooperative economy with the people's livelihoods in China, and called on the establishment of co-operatives of all kinds, in order to develop civil economy. Through many practices, it made some influences on the Chinese society. But because of 'the gap of times' between China and the western countries, Chinese cooperative thought not only contained the characters of the western cooperative economic system, but also had their own features.
