Associated with the event of the Pacific Equatorial Undercurrent inversion during the 1982-83 El Nino, the same phenominen, which occurred in the 137 ° E and 165 ° E sections during the 19767 77 and 1986/ 87 E1 Nino events, are analyzed in this paper. It would be thought that the occurrence of Equatorial Undercurrent inversion during the 1982 / 83 El Nino is not an occasional event. The western Equatorial Pacific Ocean is a key region for monitoring both the Equatorial Undercurrent variation and its relation with the El Nino event.
